Review from Client with Neuropathy
First of all, the customer service was absolutely fabulous, replacing my defective item (stitching error) without hassle. Yet I was also surprised at the woven central material, which was so different than the pair with the leather-like material I had been using at night for ten years. While, at first glance, the differences seem like a matter of aesthetic, in truth, I found that they held my wrists at different angles, due to the woven material's lack of give. This, in turn, makes a huge difference for individuals like me, dealing with peripheral neuropathy. Fortunately, they went "above and beyond" by constructing my replacement sprint from the original, leather-like material. It fits PERFECTLY, and makes my hand feel as though I'm wearing nothing on it. I love this thing SO much! Yet my instinct says that if I had to stick with the woven center strip...well, I would need to experiment with competitors before the material cutting into my thumb and the difference in angle caused actual damage. Final verdict: the design is excellent, but the new woven material is flawed. Original material version: five stars. Woven version: 1 star for me, though others may encounter a better fit. Stellar customer service brings it up to a 4-star review. Be sure to request the classic, original leather-like material if you can (hopefully Alex will manufacture it as a separate option in its own right!!) and trust me when I say that you'll never want to try an alternative splint brand again.
